Michele Bachmann Watch, 8/6/08: MB doesn't know Minneapolis from St. Paul
from the DumpMicheleBachmann blog:

Michele Bachmann Widely Derided for Stating the RNC Will Be Coming to Minneapolis

Strib (MSP Star-Tribune):

And the Twin Cities were treated no better Monday night by U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann during her appearance on CNN's "Larry King Live."

The Republican from the St. Paul suburb of Stillwater was asked by King whether she thinks Vice President Dick Cheney should attend the convention.

Bachmann responded: "I think everybody should come to Minneapolis. It's the most beautiful city in the United States. And everybody is going to want to come here. I think it will be tough to keep away from this city, it's going to be so great."

From comments: :rofl:

Rep. Michelle Bachman
I saw that crazy woman on Larry King last night and she said something to the effect that "everyone should come to Minneapolis for the Republican convention, its a great city" - she never once mentioned the city of St. Paul - I think she's as confused as Katie Couric is.

She's not the only one...
That clever Rep. Michelle Bachman referred to Mpls when asked a question on Larry King last night about the upcoming convention. Yes, I agree everyone should go to Mpls as well, but Ms. Bachman... you're from here, you should know better. Give St. Paul the love!

Poor thing, we shouldn't blame her
Because it is not like she has a mind of her own. If a senior ranking member of the republican party or religious right hasn't already said it, there's no way Bachman could come up with it on her own!!!!!!!!! ha ha

Bachmann fast becoming a national laughingstock as well....
after all she already carries those credentials locally.

Bachmann is simply nuts
I get so much junk mail from this woman, and everything is done on heavy, colored flyers. What a waste of trees, and time. I have started "return to sender" because I find her so annoying - she talks smack all the time, and I totally agree with the comment regarding her "crazy eyes". She scares me.

What was Bachman wearing?
Why was this tease ever elected? Did you see what she was wearing on Larry King? Some sort of sleeveless number? Hey, Michelle, George W. is married---remember your vow to the family values crowd to bash gays. Just don't steal our husbands! Just for the sheer spectacle of it you gotta' love worthless Republican hypocritical scum like her

Who does Bachmann represent?
I thought part of Bachmann's area of representation was metro. Yet, she has no clue where she is at or what part of her state is going to carry HER party convention. Tells me a whole lot about her concern for the state and her district. People, wake up. This is a puppet.

Um........Michelle?.....helloooo?
6th district, wake up and get rid of this embarrassment to Minnesota. Bachmann needs to stick to hiding in the bushes and looking for her old light bulbs.

1. Hey Michelle, think VP
Some people want Pawlenty for VP
Pawlenty = Republican Governor
Governor = Capital
Captial = St Paul
St Paul = Convention

But don't worry about us having a laugh because we all know Dick and George want you in Congress.

2. Was she educated in Georgia?
Remember, Newt's old stomping grounds ... where a phone operator (in 1996) argued with a person about whether or not New Mexico was part of the U.S., like the caller said, or the ticket-buyer had to go through his embassy, like the operator suggested ...
