what does that mean exactly? Is it his yearbook picture or something?

It's his red, white and blue campaign logo, with red and white stripes reminiscent of the flag.

this is the same email that got one of my very emotionally unstable relatives screaming mad the other day

when I pointed out that the logo was red, white and blue, the angry replies stopped

just stupid


BTW: McCain's plane looks blue, white and yellow to me, no red on that sucker. Is he runningn for President of Bosnia & Herzegovina?

explanation (not that any of the jerks will bother to check). Glad you let me know to be ready for this one in my e-mail. I don't know why people bother anymore because I always reply/refute and piss them off.

Another angle which I thought immediately (and apparently incorrectly) is they removed it because of the weight of the paint. I have read awhile back where the more paint on the plain the heavier it is and less efficient.

13. I replied by saying the North American Airlines flag is a registered

trademark of North American Airlines. Obama would have had to have the permission of the airline to use their logo on his plane. I attached an image of the company logo showing the stylized flag integrated with the company name.

I then showed Obama's logo, a stylized American flag. I then state that all that Obama did was replace one stylized flag with another.

When replies came. calling me an Obama apologist, I fired back that I worked retail for nearly two decades, I am well versed in marketing, trademarks, patents, and copyrights. I talked about branding and the danger of diluting brands. I talked about the dangers to Obama if he kept the North American logo on his plane. McCain's people would claim that Obama is in the pocket of North American Airlines. I also said that is is very risky for a business to be associated with any political party. It was business. It was nothing personal.

I ended by noting that there was no red white and blue, no American flag, stylized or not, on McCain's plane.
