The U.S. and the Olympics |
|
Now I remember what has always inspired me about the Olympics. That would be the diversity in the American teams. Take women's volleyball, for instance. They are currently playing Japan. The Japanese team is very identifiable, but the American team is a hodgepodge of different sizes, colors, ethnicities, and I find that charming, fascinating, and something that really does make me smile. I love that about America, and wouldn't want it any other way.

I see somewhere in the future some kind of mish-mash language of Spanish and English to replace our current English with a ton of people all kinds of fun colors.. Some people forget we are a nation of immigrants..

so many people are so negative about this issue. Where would we be without it? I think that is what makes America unique. I surely wouldn't be here if the U.S. didn't open her arms to my family so many years ago.
