Poll question: Predict the topics for the Sunday "news" shows!
Every week, I try to post a poll asking what my fellow DUers feel is the "most important news story".

This week we had some big stories (please see the link here). Naturally, I forgot some (revelations in Ron Suskind's book, the growing mess that is the anthrax "investigation") and some new stories happened after I posted on Friday (the battle of South Ossetia).

The reason why I started posting these polls every week was to remind myself that despite what the GOP-controlled media was pushing, there were other stories that warranted more consideration and scrutiny...unlike what they usually waste all their programming hours on (like you-know-what).

Now I am going to combine two of my favorite DU things: polls and predicting the crap the GOP will pull!

So, let me present today's poll: what do you think will be the "top news story" on the Sunday "news" shows? Pick whichever show you like to watch and I'll check against transcripts after they're posted online.

7. I Can Tell You What They Won't Cover...
The law breaking and lies of the boooosh regime that had emboldened Russia to attack Georgia...the first step in the "restoration" of the Russian empire that Putin has been pushing for over the past couple years. It sure helps when the U.S. is discredited around the world and its military is worn out and demoralized in Iraq. Good going, Junior.

You sure won't hear about Gramps affairs with lobbyists...Vickie Isemann and the many prosititue/lobbyists who "work" on his campaign to line-up the spoils should this goon win. That's because these lobbyists are also buddies with many of the DC bubbleheads and they'll protect their own before they present the truth.

And you won't hear much, if anything, about the corporate media's own complicity in enabling the current mess this country is in. You'll have a roundtable of "serious" people who ignore facts and reality and journalism...instead they need to push an agenda or spin.

I haven't watched any of these shows in years...what's the use? One pretty much can predict what these circle jerks are.

8. The biggest story is the Edwards scandal. Invasion of Georgia 2nd.
And that is how they'll cover them.
