Outside of DU - do you hear ANYONE concerned about Georgia?? |

I mean among the people you talk to daily - co-workers, grocery checkers, librarians, etc.....

Got into a long discussion about it with a guy at work today. We agreed that the Bush administration is wagging the dog.

9. Yep - I get a few blank looks and then kind of a nod of recognition.... |
|
but I don't know anyone paying as close attention as DU'ers.
I appreciate that people here actually pay attention to what potentially could kill us all.

Any international talk is about the Olympics. I honestly don't think they understand what's going on. It's happening with countries they're unfamiliar with, so it's like- 'there's something happening, but it's happening OVER THERE.'
But when I saw Cheney come out of his lair to comment on the situation, making intimations for war, I knew something was up. They say a shark can smell drops of blood in the water from miles away; the Dark Lord has the same gift.

However, I'm sure I'll get a good response to the next "funny" I send out.
