The special forces master sergeant accused of killing an unarmed Afghan man told his supervisor after he was detained that he had a human ear inside his room, the sergeant’s supervisor testified today.

Master Sgt. Joseph Newell also told his supervisor that he had alcohol in his room, the supervisor said. The supervisor, Sgt. Maj. Ronald Bryant, testified this afternoon during a hearing to determine if there is enough evidence to try Newell by court martial.

Newell, 38, is accused of improperly shooting and killing an Afghan man on March 5.

He is also accused of chopping off the man’s ear, stealing the man’s scarf and possessing alcohol during a deployment.

1. Imagine if Nicole Brown Simpson's ear was found in O.J.'s bronco.
Now, imagine if O. J. Simpson was serving in the military under Bush.

This guy's gonna walk.
