Please tell me what will happen when we have a 'PERSIAN GULF of TONKIN?' |
|
Edited on Thu Jan-25-07 01:22 PM by in_cog_ni_to
I expect a Persian Gulf of Tonkin to happen any day now. What will happen when this BOGUS Iranian attack on our soldiers or our ships happens and the cabal furthers their PNAC agenda? What will Congress do? Can they do ANYTHING? Is Congress STUPID enough and naive enough to believe this BOGUS Persian Gulf of Tonkin is legit? Do you think anyone in the Senate has thought about this administration staging a Persian Gulf of Tonkin? If so, do you think they have a battle plan to remove the traitors from office? I know something is going to happen. We didn't send Patriot Missiles and launchers and Naval aircraft carriers to the Gulf for NO REASON. It's in the works.
Biden told them they HAD to go back to the Senate before going into Iran or there would be a Constitutional Challenge/Crisis, BUT if they have their staged Persian Gulf of Tonkin...what then? Doesn't that take away the Senate's power as far as a Declaration of War with Iran?

The media will push war, the population, except for a small minority, will fall for it, American flags will re-appear on SUV's, and *'s popularity ratings will go up. War will happen, and in all possibility will lead to a very very very bad situation. Hope I'm wrong and I hope you're wrong.

2. If such a thing comes to pass, I believe the only military "recourse"... |
|
...will be a strike on Iranian nuclear facilities and very little else. Whether some low-power nuclear weapons or high-powered conventional ones would be used is still anyone's guess, but the whole thing would be executed very quickly (I'd imagine less than an hour over target if it wasn't done via Tomahawk or Cruise Missile).
Trying anything bigger, in my opinion, with our troops spread as thin as they are, and with the Straight of Hormuz giving Iran a distinct advantage, defense-wise, would be Thermopylae all over again.

3. The PNACers don't care how many lives it costs |

the more the better in fact. The plan is to control the resources period. Will will attempt to occupy Iran but probably only after nearly destroying it utterly.

Turkey will send troops to crush the Kurds (once and for all... the Armenian "solution".) Iran will send troops to help the Shi'ites
Jordan will collapse and Abdullah will end up in exile in the US
Taliban might decide to "move" on Pakistan (gotta get those nukes)
Israel will decide to strike Iran (with our urging, no doubt)
Lebanon will sink further into chaos (It's the 80's all over again
There will be an ecological apocalypse when they start sinking oil tankers in the gulf
Oil will go through the roof
Russia will supply arms to any who want them
US will supply arms to any who want them
India will gin up their issues with Pakistan
North Korea will get their panties in a wad and act up for more attention
Who knows, maybe China will decide that;s the time to 're-unite' with Taiwan
But don;t worry, *² has a plan to solve all these problems
tax-cuts for the rich tax cuts for the oil companies elimination of Social security
