Why not invade Iran?

Imagine one randomly chosen adult Iranian who is now residing in America. Without more information, there is no way to determine what motivated this man or woman to come here. However, only a racist anti-immigrant would entertain the hypothesis that an Iranian could be more likely than the average American to hold sexist or anti-gay attitudes.

Clearly, Iranian society is controlled by a few old men who have outdated ways of thinking. Were American soldiers to march into Iran, the great masses of ordinary Iranian people would greet the soldiers with flowers and sing songs in celebration of the end of the old sexist and anti-gay policies.

Right now, invading or just bombing Iran would be another war crime on its face that an international tribunal can charge Bush and friends.

By invading ourselves, we could save travel arrangements, not have the annoyance of having to learn a foreign language, and we will have the total cooperation of nearly 100% of the residents. We know our way around, and we could dust off a old copy of the Constitution to use as guidance to form a new government.
