Saakashvili must LOVE Condoleezza's truce proposal.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080815/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/us_russia_georgia_116

Rice will be consulting with pro-Western Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili about details of the cease-fire, which will require Russia to withdraw its combat forces from Georgia but allows Russian peacekeepers to remain in South Ossetia and conduct limited patrols outside the region.

The draft document also does not commit Russia to respecting Georgia's "territorial integrity," but rather refers to Georgian "independence" and "sovereignty," meaning Moscow does not necessarily accept that South Ossetia and Abkhazia, are Georgian.

------------------------------------------------------------

When they say "conduct limited patrols outside the region" do they mean in other areas of Georgia outside South Ossetia and Abkhazia? I bet Saakashvili is rethinking his pro Western stance right about now.

3. South Ossetia and Abkhazia had de facto independence anyway
so this treaty only makes Saakashvilli officially recognize what was already happeneing beforehand.

4. What happened in Georgia is what will happen over and over if McCain is elected.
This is an example of McCain's "experience" in foreign policy. His aides take money from a country then encourage the leader of the country to rekindle a 16-year old conflict, start a war, and then McCain looks up information about the country to plagiarize for his public comments in support of the war.

Can you imagine where this country will be by 2012 if this egomaniac is elected?

Please, God, don't let it happen.

McCain is completely irresponsible. Just give him a fistful of dollars and he will shoot anything in sight.

OK, so I'm exaggerating . . . a bit. Still, McCain obviously does not comprehend what is at stake when violence is used.
