I have been listening most of his interviews with the media since the outbreak of the Russian-Georgian war, and I am surprised at Georgian President´s immaturity. Also his decision to invade the breakaway region and his weird expectation from the US is a clear indicator of his lack of understanding of international real-poletics.

He had a lot of balls when he thought his neo-con pals would come rushing in to help him, but he quickly started to whimper and whine when he realized that the US doesn't actually engage militarily with grown up countries with large armies and advanced weapons systems.

Unemployment is going up and his approval numbers were going down, and I suspect that rather than national pride was his real reason for invading now.

It's clear he didn't expect the full force of the Russian army to evict him.
