Suburban Chicago LTTE: Bush years have been good years
(addressed to the author of a letter critical of Bush)

However, if there was a chance that any of your accusations held water, the Dems/liberals would have jumped all over them. I believe you will see the Bush administration end their term with heads held high and history judging them favorably, as in the case of President Truman.

What you and your ilk seem to forget is a very important part of Bush's decision to go to war - he had the approval and backing of Congress. Nothing unconstitutional about that! War is ugly, but a necessary evil to combat people looking to kill us.

President Bush entered office in a recession, then Sept. 11, then consumer confidence at an all-time low with the corruption from corporations like Enron that were allowed to build during the Clinton days (which affected the stock market and economy), and what did Bush do? He has been able to protect us from another attack, build up the economy, bring back the stock market to over 13,000, gain the respect from other parts of the world through recent elections of conservative leaders, successful in Libya's Moammar Gaddafi declaring his WMD and destroying them, prosecuting those CEOs and executives responsible for ruining the financial lives of many Americans, and successful in facilitating the six-country discussions with North Korea. These are some of his achievements, the list goes on.

4. Good grief, I known there are some
delusional people in this world but this clown is in a class of his own. To quote an anonymous poster on another board, "I don't know what is scarier, that he actually believes that crap of that he votes".

earth was created in 6 days.

His hero's latest accomplishment was being escorted out of the Olympics by no less than four members of the secret service who were trying to keep the shitfaced leader of the free world from falling down in a drunken stupor.

The letter writer is living in a fantasy world.

7. They've pushed this "Truman" analogy about as far as she'll run...
I especially liked his "the list goes on."

That's what people write when they've got nothin'.

8. I've seen this theme throughout con circles lately:
Now, in less than two years, the Democratic Congress has achieved a hurt to the economy again with their stonewalling on moving an energy plan. I would hold U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid accountable for treason, and call for their impeachment.

Anything they view negatively is automatically blamed on the Democrats. Same shit, different day.

10. Correction:"he had the approval and backing of a republican majority Congress."
I bet if the Dems had the majority in 2002, there is no way we would be in Iraq right now.

Took him 6 years to get it back to where it was under Clinton.

And now where is it?
