The images have an obvious meaning.

They're inciteful.

There was a recent shooting of a Democratic official in Arkansas.

The Democratic governor of Maryland has been threatened - credibly - twice in the last few months.

How long until some wacko goes to a gathering of Democrats and sprays the crowd with ammo?

Why is this not seen for the VERY REAL THREAT it is?

24. This is why I try to get my liberal friends to get weapons,

and get trained in their use. It's really the greatest of ironies, the group that actually needs weapons the most, is the most opposed to them. I have no idea why conservatives are so paranoid about the government, if you take a look at history, even recent history, they usually go after the liberals first. How many conservatives get targeted for the no-fly list? How many get herded into free speech zones? How many get their pictures taken standing at a protest by the FBI? They may get to the conservatives eventually, but it's the liberals that get first whack.

The ONLY thing conservatives understand is force, nothing else. It's like they've been reduced to a reptilian brain that can't understand anything except basic sensations. They don't 'do' nuance. If you rely on their better side coming through, at best you'll be sorely disappointed, at worst you'll be killed.

You say, down thread, that people should take these threats seriously, but then criticize me when I say I take dangerous people seriously enough to arm myself. Are these people a threat or not? Should people defend themselves or not?

How should we take it seriously? What's your answer? Wring our hands and say, "Oh no, they scare me"? Prevent them for making those images? Jail them for it? Put conservatives/republicans in jail for their dislike/hatred of liberals? What?

I say people should do things to protect themselves -- arming themselves is one good way.

I don't mind my feathers being ruffled, but you should get used to it too. You post the contradictory stances and often mean spirited in your posts and you got called on in this thread. As far as name calling goes, 9/10 times you are the one who starts it, and then cries when someone retaliates in kind.
