Edited on Fri Aug-15-08 06:13 PM by ColbertWatcher
Most important news story of the week (ending August 14, 2008)

Choice 1: the assassination of Bill Gwatney

Choice 2: the continuing mess in South Ossetia

Choice 3: how quickly the GOP-controlled media forgot about the anthrax case

Choice 4: how quickly the GOP-controlled media forgot about the information in Ron Suskind's new book

Choice 5: how the GOP-controlled media won't mention the GOP's connection to the continuing mess in Georgia

Choice 6: the many scandals coming out of the Beijing Olympic opening ceremonies (the CGI fireworks, the lip-synching, the dancer getting paralyzed during rehearsals)

Choice 7: a federal judge ruled that the University of California can reject courses that fail to fulfill their admissions requirements. Even if the Association for Christian Schools International says the classes are okay (http://missingthepoint.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/acsivuc-ruling.pdf">ACSI v. Stearns)

Choice 8: the propane explosion in Toronto

Choice 9: pastor at mega-church found not guilty of assault, by a jury of her peers in the town where her mega-church is located

Choice 10: Other (please elaborate in reply)

If you're sick of the way the GOP-controlled media ignore important stories, please get this poll on the "greatest page" that way maybe one of them will see it.

1. Choice One because this means we are at war
The UU Church shooting seemed like just a random act of insanity, but the assasination of an Arkansas Democratic Leader showed that both were so much more than that.

This is an act of war from the Right Wing Nuts.

Protect your families, especially if you live amongst these fucks.

And they are NOT your friends. They are your sworn enemies.

3. Hey, well, I invited everyone over to the Truthiness Encyclopedia...
...to post their research regarding Mr. Corsi.

If his book pisses you off, come on over and vent (http://www.wikiality.com/Jerome_Corsi)...

6. The Most Important Story Is The One They Try To Hide
and that is the crumbling economy at home and abroad. The stinking rich are stinking because they've soiled their pants in fear of their own personal and imminent destitution. All their pieces of paper wealth are worthless, and although Bernanke and Paulson are using shovels to push more and more dollars at the problem, the problem (too many worthless dollars) isn't going away.

And the little people, you and I, we aren't going to be riding to the rescue because these greedy bastards have taken our savings, our jobs, our healthcare and our houses already. They've stolen our futures, and our children's, and most likely our grandchildren's futures, too. They've trashed our economy and exported their frauds to other lands, which will come back to bite all Americans for a century.

This is where the phrase Asset Stripping comes in play. They are going to regret ever inventing it.
