1. IF you accept public funding for general then you can't spend leftover primary money |
|
and THAT is why so many Dems were misled by the spin machine that accused Kerry of hanging onto the extra money for selfish reasons. No...too much money came in late in the primary, and could not LEGALLY be spent during the general which started the moment Kerry accepted the nomination. Plus, that asshat traitor McAuliffe scheduled the Dem convention so much earlier that Kerry had a 5 week gap where he had to conserve his dollars to have any sort of parity with Bush who would have a shorter window of time to spend their 75mil.
Anyone who believes McAuliffe did this unknowingly or without Bill Clinton's input is also likely to believe Bush family serves out of selfless patriotism.

2. So If you don't accept Public Financing, as Obama hasn't, that means |
|
it doesn't matter how much $$ he receives and when, he can spend it as he wants to? Is that right?
I never quite understood how they made the decision between what was only primary funds and what was GE funds, but I heard it quite often in reference to the Hillary campaign.

3. Yep - that's why Kerry told Obama to not accept public funding this goround. |
|
GOp will ALWAYS have more money than us because of the huge numbers their corporate allies dump into outside groups, especially the last two decades.
