TUrn on CNN! McNut MAY have seen or heard some or all of |
|
Barack's interview at that church! The CNN host said he met with the Pastor who said "He thought McNut was sealed off from sound, but apparently he wasn't even there yet." The CNN host asked "Where was he?" He's supposed to air the interview in a few minutes!

long before the show was due to air. That way both candidates would know when they were scheduled.

better than "how did Cindy really break her arm" "or did McCain over questions" or "this POW suffered longer than McCain". I mean, this is it? What we're fighting with?
What the hell happened to ISSUES? This other stuff is really getting on my nerves because it is so infantile.

12. It has to do with integrity or lack thereof. |
|
To trick a man of God is kind of despicable.
Rick Warren made plans to make things fair and I think John McCain deliberately set it up so he would know the questions.
He put Rick Warren in a bad position.

17. So what? You don't think it is possible that this could happen |
|
twice? Hell I think it's possible it could happen MANY TIMES. I think dissing a six year POW is a dangerous road to travel in the U.S.
But heck, the election is only a few months away and they are virtually tied so what do I know?
We need to stick to ISSUES. I feel like this is some kind of surreal nightmare where we are going to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory if we aren't careful.
There is so much wrong with McCain and how he would govern that this other stuff is nonsense! If this country is that stupid, we're doomed anyway.

22. So what if he was a POW? |
|
How does that make him a leader? How does that qualify him for the presidency? Did you watch him at that forum last night? He turned practically every answer into another story about his experience as a POW. It is all he has and the possibility that he's flat-out lying about it is an issue.
This could be the final straw for him. This is exactly the kind of thing that topples guys like McSame. Look at Nixon - It wasn't the fact that he secretly bombed Cambodia or that he had a slush fund or that he ordered his men to break the law - What finally brought him down was a set of taped recordings where he cursed a blue streak and showed the world he was an angry old bigot.

If someone challenges John's qualifications or morality, shout "5-1/2 years!" repeatedly until they get pissed and walk away.

30. What happened to issues? Lots of people don't vote based on 'em |
|
We've been "right" on the issues for years, in the sense that the majority of people agree with us when the issues are separated from candidates. If you gave everyone in the country one of those "which candidate do you agree with" quizzes, Obama would win in a landslide. Kerry and Gore would have, too.
Sad as it is, our candidate is running against a party and media that has enormous success convincing people to vote based on trivial, irrelevant things. We've been trying to tell people they should vote on important things instead, with limited success.
This time, let's be right on both the important issues AND get ahead on the trivial stuff.

|
Edited on Sun Aug-17-08 09:15 PM by liberalmuse
Really, what he did was outright lie to millions of people last night. We already know McCain is a serial liar, so I'm sure as hell not going to believe when he says he wasn't listening to Obama's segment. It's pretty much common knowledge that this man has NO honor and will say or do anything to become President. But I'm deeply saddened and shocked that a Christian pastor would lie. :sarcasm:
