5. Love Bill Maher!

I saw him last week in Akron. Laughed for 2 hours!

About 1 hour in, a heckler or someone started screaming. I was on lower lever & they were up so I couldn't see them, but crowd was angry. Like, "Get out!" & "Shut up!" Bill told them, "These are MY people and I think they've got my back. Just like I have their back!" Awesome! Then he started making fun of them because the incident started when he mentioned Limbaugh. Guess that was the trigger word or whatever.

I'm humbled by his ability to put it out there. He hits on the big 2-politics AND religion. Played a trailer for his movie at the beginning & it looks SO funny!

6. Never been a huge fan of the Maher.

I watched his show a couple of times and it just seemed bombastic. But the interview was pretty good, it revealed someone who was actually thoughtful and quick-witted. Maybe I just don't appreciate the forum he uses- loud celebrities trying to 'win' the verbal points. I would love to see him take on religion period, not just Christianity. But taking on Islam carries a real risk, you head, possibly.

7. I believe his movie takes on all religions.

I think it's called "Religulous" or something like that. He said the idea was to look at "normal", rational people & why they believe something so irrational (religion). I like his description of it as an unscripted comedy as opposed to a documentary.
