A nice shift from the way he and Michelle trashed the Clinton administration.

Doesn't that mean it's Tipper Gore's birthday, too? I seem to recall they were born on the same day.
Also, in a few hours, it will be the birthday of my brand new niece or nephew! Good omen!

9. And my Daddy's birthday |
|
God Bless Him, he would have been 81 today. My Dad was not very political but it was good fun ragging him about having the same birthday as Bill Clinton.
Go Big Dog.

My sister is calling the new niece or nephew the "little dawg", but now we can call him "Little Dawg Hog"! (My whole family are big "Dukes of Hazzard" fans from way back anyway).

My nomdepost has nothing to do with the Dukes of Hazzard. Name your new little buckeroo Ray Zorback after a great and old time musician who used to hang out in the old Bohemian section of Fayetteville.

and don't give a damn about the Monica but he was the downfall of the democratic party by moving us to far center. We lost our way as a party.

in the Mets AAA stadium concession stand. Right after Mook left, actually. But I saw him play a lot as a minor leaguer. He later followed me to Toronto.

I pine for the 90's, when we had a real president who did the right things, and Bush Sr.'s namesake was confined to ruining the Texas Rangers rather than the entire planet.

27. I do miss the days he was president... |
|
although any Repug will tell you that he just enjoyed the benefits of the Reagan/Bush policies. :)
I did get to meet him once at the La Raza conference 2 yrs ago. We were working backstage and when he came in to give his speech he went up to everyone and said hello and shook their hands. A couple of my colleagues certainly weren't fans of his but were impressed. Especially when the next day Karl Rove was speaking and he couldn't be bothered with simple workers.
Happy birthday Big Dog. Oh and btw his speech was incredible. It was like he was speaking to every single person in the audience.

28. Yep, that's Bill for you. |

He loves people, he would shake the hand of a mannequin if his handlers don't drag him away. He's by far the best president in my lifetime. I would have voted for him to a third term in a heartbeat. What a presidency he could have had if he and Hillary hadn't been hounded for 5 years by a special investigator. What a shame......

Happy Birthday from this side of the Pound;).. God I miss the man as the President of USA.. I really do. He was intelligent, and could speak, not like this moron who run the show today.. And most important. HE COULD COMMUNICATE to everyone.. Even to me, who never was very interesting in the US politic about the day then.. Even that I do followed this Lewinsky thing closely.. And shake my head in disbelief that US could use 600 million dollar, to try to trow him out of office. And fail so miserable as they do.. And many of them who was fighting to "kill him" politically speaking. Also was the same who was been proven to be less than stellar in their own marriages.. In fact many of them cheated of their "Better ones" every time them could possible do it..
He was a great President, compared to this stupid little twit who are the President today.. God I miss him.. And I hope enough americans this time are voting for a decent, intelligent President who can give us on the outside a little breath of decency in the White House again... Yes DECENCY. Because the lying and war mongering that the current administration have been have not been seen in US as long as I can remember.. I know I am not that old, just 32 but still...
And I could not get into my head that it is worse to doing something so stupid as have a sidestep in marriage (even that that IS WRONG by my standards) than to got to war, by lying, and waste not just two country, but also the economic life in your own country.. I am maybe not smart enough to understand that.. But I have to say I am mind bonged by it all...
President Clinton WAS a good president, at a time when US was respected by the most, and feared by the few bad apples.. Today US is not exactly respected by the lot, but feared by many... Hopefully a new President, would mean a new start, where the new Administration would work HARD to get thing worked out. And work toghter with the rest of the world.. Then maybe even the world would try to support, and respect as the power they still are..
