3. Or we have it and don't want it on, as in my case |
|
even if it is Olberman, the graphics and sound stuff clobbers you over the head, and the commercials.

|
Yet, he's sayin' now that it is not about ambition. FLIP FLOPPER.

You weren't good enough to beat out Bush in 2000. You mights as well crawl into a cave somewhere.

1. Bush had been the unofficial leader of the evangelical fundy legions since 1998, so he totally had home-field advantage in South Carolina.
2. McCain wasn't as much of a flaming assbag then as he is now. He was actually...*gasp*...a real conservative! Yeah, nutty stuff. But he loathed and despised the fundies in the GOP base, and made no attempt to hide it. It was around the SC primary that he referred to Falwell and Robertson as "Agents of intolerance," and eloquently explained why their version of Christianity was nothing but a big bag of rancid toad pus...none of which stood him in good stead with the Falwell/Robertson-loving voters in SC...and there were a lot of them.
3. Bush/Cheney had all the money in the world, they were who the party wanted, so McCain was running with far less money and into the teeth of his own party.
4. Rove painted his second great masterpiece during that SC primary (the first being when he defeated Anne Richards in TX, the third being November 2000, the fourth being the defeat of Max Cleland et al in 2002, and the fifth being whatever the fuck he did in 2004). He still had all of his west-Texas campaign chops, and when he was done down there, McCain was nothing but ashes and dust.
5. Nobody had ever heard of swift-boating before, so when that batshit-crazy veteran got on televisions and called McCain an insane freak who had collaborated with the Cong, enough people bought it to skew the whole scene.
McCain DESTROYED Bush in NH, and almost derailed this whole fucking nightmare right then and there. But the party got to work and turned SC into McCain's personal version of the firebombing of Dresden. There wasn't much McCain could do about it, in hindsight.

10. McCrusty has been running for Pretzeldent for his whole career |
|
for crying out loud... he's like a serial presidential candidate. He hasn't even shown up for his job to vote on anything since I don't know when. If that's not chronic ambition I don't know what is.
McCain... you want it for all the wrong reasons. And you are going to lose... again.
