1. I feel like crap
the fibromyalgia hates this kind of weather. Still, no flooding in my area (downtown Orlando) so I'm grateful for that. It sounds like some other Floridians are really having a lot of problems with both flooding and power outages. This is NOT a good time to be without power, as the air is so incredibly hot and wet!

2. The people across the street just got their power back
There were trees down on the line. Ours was only out for about an hour, luckily for us.

The water has gone down here, but it's still breezy. Still, it wasn't as bad as Frances or Jeanne or Wilma (I live in Southern Palm Beach County, Delray Beach, FL). I think it's pretty much over except putting everything back together here.

Oh, yeah, and Congratulations to Jamaica for the Gold, Silver, Silver in the Women's 100 m. What exactly are you all eating down there? :D First Bolt, then the women sweep the 100 m!

3. Got a phone call this afternoon...
from Mom. She says that the water is about 1/2 way up the driveway and rising. Apparently some of their neighbors were on the weather channel all afternoon. Wish I had seen the pictures! Lee said it was the worst he had seen.

:bounce:

20. Fay is not going to go where the worst drought is
North Georgia, western North and South Carolina are still in severe drought. The original forecasts sent Fay directly up there, but not anymore.

14. Yeah, after hitting the Atlantic, it could cross over and hit the Gulf of Mexico again.
Florida could be hit multiple times. Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi could all get tons of rain. It's needed down south and on Texas from everything I've read. I hope it doesn't build up and run into texas.

15. The good news is Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi can all use the rain.
Tropical depressions & Tropical Storms are great sources of water.

19. Yep once they don't increase in strength
Still 14 inches of rain in a short time can facilitate a disaster.
