It's time to challenge the Republican Party to let America turn the page on big oil!
"There is nothing to fear but fear itself."
- FDR

"Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!"
- Reagan

Throughout history, there have been powerful slogans that indicate change and hope. Our entrance into the 21st Century needs it's own slogan.

We have seen this year just how vulnerable our nation is to the whims of big oil, we can't let our nation be held hostage, we won't let enemies do it, and we can't let corporations do that either.

It's time we challenge the Bush Administration, McCain, and the other members of the Republican Party to sponsor and present NON-oil solutions to the energy crisis.

America wants to turn the page and close the book on big oil, but will Republicans let that happen?

"Republicans, it's time to turn the page on big oil!"

1. Just saying no to the oil business as usual is not enough. We need to put forward ideas.
A National Energy Corporation owned by the People of the USA to identify, extract, refine and deliver to market the reserves located on public lands.

Authorize the DOE to sell future delivery contracts against the Strategic Petroleum Reserve aggressively into price rallies, and to close out those contract on the resulting price declines. (This is a way of exploiting the deliverable oil which the People *already* own without having to actually deliver any of it out.)

Big Oil would oppose both these plans. So these plans must have merit!
