Methinks she is a gimlet-eyed child who misses nothing and can see through the hot air of the MSM.
I would like to hear her opinions. Her insight would probably hold much more value than the "talking heads."

4. It's not!
However, the people I heard were saying it in the tone of one
who pats the child on the head as if she was a stuffed prop.
They don't seem to see them as real kids. They act like they
are political items instead of part of a genuinely loving family.

8. Well, people like that objectify everything, so it's best to dismiss their remarks.

2. On PBS, historian Michael Bechloss said Obama kids worth 4 million votes !
Edited on Tue Aug-26-08 11:51 AM by wishlist
PBS crew was very complimentary about Michelle and the kids. Conservative David Brooks criticized Michelle for being so flattering of Obama and said tongue in cheek brushing off their appearance as worth just a million votes, but Bechloss disagreed, highly praising her speech and upping the ante for the appearance of the adorable kids to 4 million votes!

5. She's 7 - Cute is the norm for 7-year-olds
Let her have her childhood. She'll have plenty of time to deal with adult issues later on.

9. Cute is good in 7 yos. She wasn't in the least
phony or excessively precious, nor was she badly behaved. She's obviously an outgoing child - and I think when she saw Mommy up there, and then Daddy on that giant television screen, her excitement probably just had to escape!

I wouldn't mind having that little girl over here to play!

6. She is a healthy 7-year-old.
She is working hard for approval and love and getting it, and that is what you call a pretty functional relationship with your family. She may be a little anxious about how her Daddy is doing. Her mommy and daddy are still the biggest part of her world. At seven, she probably does not yet feel herself to be all that separate from her Mommy and Daddy. Therefore, when Mommy and Daddy are anxious or excited, upset or elated, she feels it very deeply. That's what I think about her. She seems cute to us, but she if a very alive, normal little girl. She seems to be very bright and eager to behave. The fact that she gave so much positive feedback to her Daddy suggests that she gets a lot of positive feedback from him. That is one way you can spot a constructive parent-child relationship. She has no fear of talking to her Daddy. She is very aware that he is the authority, but she is comfortable with him.

Sasha is not afraid of her parents. I bet she was exhausted after the excitement of the appearance had worn off.

What darling children.

10. I'm not advocating for them to get their own show on MSNBC.
Or become political commentators. I just think they are a hoot and have a lot of ideas
that would be interesting to hear.
BTW, they would be much more grownup than Joe Scarborough any time!
