does anybody have a link to just how many, if any, former POW's are now homeless?

I know that the numbers for all vets are horrendous, just wondered if that subgroup had ever been looked at.

my latest message addresses this question.

I can see the ad now:

Voice-over begins. "Asked about the seven houses he owns, John McCain said he'd been a prisoner of war for five-and-a-half years. There are hundreds of former POWs who are homeless right now. John McCain voted against veterans' programs, again and again. Looks like all the other prisoners of war aren't entitled to much, Sen. McCain."

all homeless men are ex-service members. I also found this site for ex-POWs, which claimed there were over 55,000 ex-POWs alive in 1999. Looks like McCain isn't so unique.
