Whose convention is this anyway?
Edited on Tue Aug-26-08 04:59 PM by bulloney
Geez, the few times I tune in to news or convention coverage, there's a Republican giving his/her spin on Obama and the Democratic Convention. You'd think it was the Republican Convention.

Even on the Mitch Albom show in Detroit, which gives a liberal viewpoint on the issues as much as any radio show, Albom was interviewing 9-11 Giuliani and heard nothing but the 9-11 meister piss and moan over how Obama is unqualified to be President. When Albom pointed out that W was in a similar situation in 2000, 9-11 Giuliani argued that's different because Bush was governor of a large state (a weak governor by constitution if I'm not mistaken).

Republican talking points go virtually unchallenged so far.

I'll be very interested in seeing if we see some type of reciprocation at the Republican Convention, but I'm not holding my breath.

1. Fox News is doing the press pool They are the only network
allowed to put cameras in the convention and they feed it all to other networks.

They (and Rove wanna bet?) are literally calling the shots.

3. Who's the Fullbright Scholar who let that happen?

Faux Snooze should have been barred from the convention, let alone been given rights to run cameras from the convention floor to feed to the other media.

2. I was noticing the exact same thing
Matthews going on and on and on about disunity in the Democratic party and disgruntled Hillary supporters. Then a bit with Mitt Romney who's only there to promote McCain - same talking memo head bullshit. Not one question regarding the reason they're ALL FUCKING THERE which is the convention.

Unbelievable.

4. Just was talking to my wife about this.
Wait until next week. One Democrat is seen anywhere near St. Paul we'll hear.

"I thought there was supposed to be a break in campaigning by the opposition during the conventions."

"They are breaking years of tradition"

"Democrats have no class."

etc etc

from fox, hannity, rush, et al
