21. This was Fabulous--Even Better Than I Thought it Would Be

This was a very exciting and riveting speech, hitting all the important issues and telling them as the threats they are, showing a total grasp of things, building up, with references, descriptions, as the crowd started paying attention, then got more and more excited, clapping, cheering, smiling, laughing--and they all agreed with it and understood what the problems are. This is a middle-class, Midwestern understanding of the things that are killing us, and it is always popular when put this way--let's tell it! This is the same way Kucinich ended up being so popular at the MSNBC (labor union) Presidential Candidates' Debate so long ago, back when there was still a field of them, and Kucinich made many powerful statements against NAFTA and "free" trade, union-busting, flat wages, corporate corruption and excess profits, and ended up getting cheers. This is what they fear--a Midwestern populist who goes after corporations and rich people, and the rest of us who know, cheer. This was fabulous, the way people just loved it, the whole crowd.

The crowd that was there was on their feet by the end - he was on FIRE. Oh, I love Dennis. He is the man.
