When I was in the Army I used to pass the endless time on guard and other waking hours thinking "What are other people doing right now?" and pretty much anything that would pass the long tedious hours. Soldiers have those idle hours to think that, of course somewhere there is also someone waiting tables and someone about to hit the third shift. Out in the middle of the night....
