As noted on here and in Media Matters, Megyn Kelly of Fox decided that if you changed a few words in Michelle Obama’s speech, it looked a lot different. See below:
Fox News' Megyn Kelly noted that during her DNC speech Michelle Obama said, "The world as it is just won't do," and then Kelly continued: "If you replace 'world' with 'country', you are back to the same debate, arguably, that you have been having about Michelle Obama's feelings about the country. Did she give her critics any fodder with that comment?"

So, in honor of that, I suggest we compile a list of quotes from John McCain, George Bush and other leading Republicans and change one small word to see if that would change the debate at all.
Here we go with a few starters:
John McCain, “We’re all
Georgians fascists now.”
John McCain, “There’s one big difference between me and the others—I
won’twill take every last dime of the surplus and spend it on tax cuts that mostly benefit the wealthy.”
Dick Cheney, “We will, in fact, be greeted as
liberators invaders.”
Mitt Romney, “I am in favor of
stem-cell research bestiality.
Rudy Giuliani, “What we can borrow from
Ronald Reagan Barack Obama... is that great sense of optimism. He led by building on the strengths of America, not running America down."
With quotes like these, I think the Republicans have a problem?
Any other quotes where we can change one thing and it points to a problem?
