To the Editor,

Regarding the tribute to Ted Kennedy, many accomplishments were accredited to him, but, in truth, his life on this earth is about over and he will have to stand before the living God that gave him life and give an account the same as everyone.

God will not be contacting Howard Dean or the Democratic Party to obtain a copy of the tribute tape. The voices that will give testimony will be the innocent blood of the unborn and the abominations that God listed in scripture. Ted needs to repent (the one “Change” he and the Democratic Party do not seem to understand).

3. It always amazes me how arrogant these self-righteous types are. They just 'know' that
they are the only ones who know what god is and how he will handle things. I think many will be terribly surprised when they die and rot in the ground.

9. It always bother me that they feel they know the mind of God
and "God's will", like they have a hot-line to the Almighty and are updated on a regular basis. Kind of like * listening the voices in his head telling him to attack Iraq, and thinking it was God.

I've heard the phrase "cafeteria Catholics", who pick and chose which doctrines to follow. Isn't it the same with this christians? They're all very big on the hellfire and damnation in Leviticus and the Old Testemant, but have no affinity for Jesus' teachings or the New Testament.

18. Unfortunately, they'll never know they were wrong...
...since their consciousness will end the moment their brain
stops functioning. In other words, there will be nothing to
surprise them, no "Aha!" moment. Just an end.

8. I wouldn't say that
the Republican party is an abomination. People who use religion to coerce and control others are an abomination. There are plenty of those people in both parties. I think that blanket accusations from either side are an obstacle to our growth. Many people seek religion because of fear and need for comfort. Others see religion as a tool to gain power and raise themselves up above others. Religion should be a tool for guidance and self improvement. It should allow people to interact better with their fellow humans and environment. Compassion, love, understanding, and concern were the cornerstones of Christs teachings. He continually rebuked his followers for missing that point. Most of us still do. Obviously the author of that editorial misses the point.

of abortions, if he will show some compassion to children once they are born.
