I suppose there are Democratic women who'd switch tickets to vote for mccain/palin |
|
I heard one call into cspan, saying if mccain had a woman on his ticket as vp, she'd switch to repub to vote for her.
It don't make sense to me, like reagan Democrats, or chickens for Colonol Sanders, or log cabin republicans.

2. if it's Palin i think they will have her get a makeover to try to look like Hillary |
|
it just seems like a desperate pick to me. like he decided just last night after Obama's speech because he couldn't compete with that. so he needed to do something that was surprising and maybe distract from the horrible convention they will have.

3. I can understand and sympathize with the urge.. |
|
Even though I think it would be stupid.
If you belong to a downtrodden minority (and I know that women aren't really a minority, given there are more women than men) the desire to see one of your own succeed in a very visible role can be extremely strong.

4. I guess there probably are.. |
|
but I think we can register enough new voters to more than counteract that.
I also put those people in the same category as those who voted for Nader back in 2000 because Gore was just like Bush.

5. Those aren't women, and they aren't Democrats |

They're simple-minded broads and hussies.

6. With McCain at 72, there's a real likelihood that he may |
|
become incapacitated or die before the end of his term. Is Palin ready to be president???
