The 'Conservatives' up here are trying to Impeach Sarah Palin
I just thought you all should know, in the middle of your mindless bashing of Sarah Palin...

The corporate cronies up here are trying to Impeach her for some stupid ass firing of some cop meanwhile we have the two most corrupt congressmen in the history of the nation who have just been reelected in their primaries (well it is quite possible they are fixing the election for Don Young as we speak as he was losing election night, but by morning wouldn't ya know it he's winning- now they are waiting on the absentee ballots)

These bastards are all over the radio and news are bashing her incessantly in an attempt to take the heat off of Young and Stevens and do nothing but pump the corrupt bastards who have been exposed for real crimes.

The corporate cronies don't like her...that should tell us something...

But my gawd, some of the things DUers are saying about her, making fun of her for...what is wrong with you? Talk about the issues but pull your head out of your asses and discuss things like an adult not a third grader...

2. You've got your facts wrong

The cop wasn't fired, so the supervisor was dismissed. 14 members of Palin's administration made
calls for the firing of the cop, who happened to be her ex brother-in-law. She is being investigated
for corruption.

4. The cop was pretty dirty regardless of the family connection
I don't think the scandal is going to hold because most people will think this cop should have been fired.

Edited on Fri Aug-29-08 08:31 PM by catgirl
It seems the Palin family made these accusations and the calls for
his dismissal came from members of her administration. The abuse
of power investigation against Palin) was called for by a bipartisan panel.

6. the sarah palin bullshit is a diversion to protect Stevens and Young
Do you really think these pork loving "Conservatives' give a damn about corruption when they keep electing Don Young and Stevens?

They are after Sarah because she isn't (well she wasn't) a Corporate slave. I will have to listen to what the talking heads are saying today, it will be interesting to see if they suddenly start supporting her...

3. Is it "mindless bashing" to say she's unqualified?
All I know about her is what I've read in the last couple of days. Her experience looks pretty meager to me and there is a very good chance that if McCain wins, she will become President in a year or two when he croaks.

That idiot is definitely not qualified. If they were to steal it again(the only possible way McCain could 'win') we should be praying he buys the farm.

As mayor of a town of 8400 for four years and a year and a half as governor with absolutely NO national experience.

32. My sister lives in Alaska and has commented to me
that Palin is fairly moderate compared to the previous governor and the rest of the old repub guard up there.

i just find it odd that he chose her, and not another woman (i.e Kay Bailey Hutchison, or someone like that who has national exposure and experience.)

35. Sorry, but in terms of CV, Palin is a lightweight
Goes from city council and mayor of a small Alaskan burg to governor, and now on to Veep with McCain. What's her foreign policy experience? What about domestic policy experience at a national level? At least McCain has both foreign and domestic policy experience, Palin has, at best, Alaskan policy experience.

Palin is a lighweight politically, and if McCain gets the presidency and then croaks, she's going to be in waaay over her head, and we're all going to pay the price for it.

12. You Know that if she comes off as going up against corrupt
pols and companys and we bash her for it then we may very well make the Rezko situation in general and corrupt Cook County politics in particular (there are several federal investigation on going) not to mention the corruption of the Illinois Governor (also under federal investigation).

Also look for the names Todd Stroger, and Emil Jones to crop up.

If we try to trash her for tolerating corruption, we may come to be sorry.

17. i think people are talking the issues. cause you dont like the issue
doesnt mean they are not meant to be talked about. a year and half as gov and no other experience isnt good enough for pres. she is under mccain, an old man.

people have issue on du and democratic party with anti abortion, anti envornment issues. sue em. that is democratic issues, and guns. whether i am what camp, i can recognize them having issue

if the probe is over with, then we should be informed. but for us to talk about it isnt something we are doing wrong.

having five kids, one an infant takes time. if pres, what?????

because we arent in love with her, or even know her yet doesnt mean we earn a chewing out

21. Oh I have 'issues' with her myself
She just helped legislation fail(by announcing she would vote NO and encouraging others to do the same) that was to protect our water and salmon from international corporate mining interests who would rather not worry about whatever crap they want to dump. This just after Exxon screwed over Alaskans with the help of the Supreme Court. Alaska is the last place with fish not poisoned by Mercury and the like, so this is a disaster for fish eaters everywhere, might even be worse than drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. I think Alaskans might already have too much metal in their water or something, people are not thinking clearly.

But I am just offended by the rude immature attacks on her, not reasonable well thought out attacks on her policies. It makes DU look really petty and I believe we are better than that.

BUT

i thank you for the information about the salmon issue. i am so pissed at the fish situation now. we eat fish. we love salmon. and i swear my oldest is effect with the crap in the fish adn tuna. have been watching when i serve certain dishes how it effects him. i have now cut tuna out of our diet and look for the fishes that are deemed ok. salmon is big in our house and what you say just makes me sick

thanks for info

29. thanks for understanding
If the mining industry is allowed to dump whatever they want in the salmon streams, we will be lucky to have any salmon and they will definitely be poisoned. With the Exxon disaster, they have shown that rather than prevent a disaster, it is more economical to just get caught and get help from the Supreme Court. There is no deterrent.

I have found a little bit about this. They say her daughter went away for a while and then Sarah announced she was preggers when she didnt show. She also reported back to work the day after she claimed to have given birth.

Puhleeze add more if you have any.

the big deal is a parent that does all this to hide daughters preg and then allows herself in this position to have something like this called out

bad parenting
