14. There are not any, not if they're fans....
Life of Brian and The Meaning of Life come to me as political, especially the latter.

"What have the Roman's ever done for us?" is a great skit from Life Of Brien.

12. Two primary reasons one being political and the other policy
From a political standpoint in order to get elected, they hope to take advantage of the gender issue, of which the corporate media has kept front and center, throughout the Democratic Primary.

I believe the real more substantive reason for this choice is because Palin is a global warming climate change denier, who believes the Polar Bear should be taken off the threatened species list. I believe this is the oil corporations’ primary concern and as these are the same entities which helped buy Cheney/Bush to power, they would continue to carry much influence, sending vast quantities of money to McSame's campaign. The oil corporations are dying, to drill in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and taking the Polar Bear off the threatened species list fits their master plan.

17. You'd be surprised.
Try going to Rice University, where memorizing the Pythons is practically a credit requirement. Surprisingly large numbers of geeks, computer majors, and D&D fanboys don't follow or care about politics.

22. Hell... I'm the last fella on earth that'd predict the power of the "crotch litmus test."
I find the whole "identity politics" schtick to be despicable. As a white male who has fought against human objectification, whether based on race, gender, religion, or national origin, his entire life INSTEAD OF ADVOCATING FOR MY OWN RACE AND GENDER, I seriously doubt there's a goddamned thing that's "liberal" about people for whom the overriding issue is "someone like me."

It takes one helluva lot more than a female voting solely on "female issues" or a black voting solely on "black issues" to convince me they have the slightest comprehension of the values and principles of liberalism.

That may not be something that's very well comprehended here on DU, but there it is.

"What have the Roman's ever done for us." ....Life of Brian

Much of what has been done to shape the environment of dissent in this age is a zephyr that passes over the heads of the Xers' unnoticed. Oh well, we did our job, let the tikes on bytes do theirs.

Boomer used to be a good thing, they hate us for our music, because theirs had already been done...40 years ago. They view us as time-traveling thieves of intellectual properties. They're cute though with their wizened little eyes expressing something akin to hope. Maybe it's time to pass the torch..... cautiously and conditionally.

and if we go on speaking english they won't even know that they that are being chided.

It's sad really, and as a single dad who often draws blanks when I speak in the colloquial it makes me doubly sad, but perhaps it also makes me dated. There's nothing colloquial or complicated about bullshit. Somewhat colorless and unrefined, yes, but still there's something efficient to what the kids are saying. Save me Jeebus...I'm growing old and wise (or wizened).

They're a cute couple.
Yet once again the Republicans are nominating a spokesmodel instead of a leader. At least this time they're not making the spokesmodel the top of the ticket.
