Gustav kicked Jamaica's butt last night.
It seemed at first like nothing was happening. All of yesterday as the weather channel showed the huge cloud cover of Gustav over us and they reported that Jamaica was getting pounded, nothing much was happening here in Kingston. A lot of people let down their guard when we realised that the centre of circulation was now to the south of Kingston and there was hardly any rain falling.

Well folks, I think after 9pm or so Gustav, started to show the sting in his tail. The unbelievable rain and wind started. I lost power in Kingston 6 near 12:30 am. I listened to radio and the flooding has been very bad. Rivers have overflowed their banks and washed away houses. Bridges are destroyed cutting off the parish of St Thomas. Gullies are overflowing. It was bad last night and because it was night many could not escape. I am sure there is a death toll but we are just trying to figure things out now.

I made it through with no damage and I got back electricity after 10am. Malaise, where are you?

3. Thanks!
She doesn't have to PM me. I'm fine with just letting me know that she's OK :D
