Palin is yet another republican bid to dumb us down, like dubya |

Look at the conversation going on. There's a ridiculous effort by the republicans (and their defenders) to justify the pick of a "hockey mom" with less than 2 years as a governor to assume the vice-presidency of the United States. This is the best pick McCain can think of? It's a joke, and it shouldn't be given ANY credibility. But, there they are . . . trying to convince us that this woman, who hasn't given more than a minute of though or effort in addressing the major problems that face; that she'll be charged with managing and solving in the likely event that the 72 year-old McCain becomes incapacitated. We should be outraged that McCain would leave America in such trivial hands, and McCain should be exposed, with this pick, as clueless about the expertise and care the country needs in the White House right now.

When you look at their history from Raygun, Shrub I, and Shrub II Oh and Quayle they have a pretty good record of picking the bottom of the barrel.

even Cheney, for all his infamy, was a bottom-tier politician when he was picked.
