Sarah Palin Already Caught in a Lie

Sarah Palin has only been the VP pick of McCain pick for a few hours, but has already been caught in a lie. In her speech this morning she claimed that she was against the bridge to nowhere. However, it was just reported on Countdown with Keith Olbermann that in 2006 she actually supported the bridge to nowhere and thought it should be done sooner than later in that the Alaska delegation, at that time, was in a position to get it done. Rachel Maddow mentioned that meant it would be done through earmarks something else she (Gov. Palin),this morning, claimed she had fought against. Democrats need to start talking about this immediately.

that no one connected with her or her office contacted anyone in the fireing scandal, then later admitted that several people from her office and of course her husband Todd, had contacted many people by e-mail, phone and in person.
So this holy, religious woman seems to tell lots of lies while claiming she has some high blown morality.
Always the grandstanding religionists who are shown to be habitual liars and cheats. Always. Palin is not different.

26. The MSM-even PBS and NPR- are gushing over her as a "reformer" who

stands against special interests and opposed the "bridge to nowhere". Apparently, being caught in a lie is something they practice as well.

28. I hate the name "bridge to nowhere"

The whole issue is overblown in my opinion as an Alaskan. The bridge was being built between a decent sized town (for Alaska anyway) that was basically out of room to expand, and the next island, which is where the airport was and if I remember right so was the hospital or a planned hospital. People have to take a ferry that only runs once an hour. It wasn't a huge waste of money, and pretty much everyone who lives up here knows that even if they like to make fun of Uncle Ted and Don Young about it like everyone else.

Of course Palin supported it. One of the biggest issues that R's talk about here is the need for more infrastructure. The vast majority of the state is not on any road system and is only accessible by plane or boat, it would help out the economy in some of these "bush" areas if they were connected by road. She said that she killed it, but that was only after the whole idea of it became a punchline and synonymous with waste and corruption.
