Forgetting what's important.
The GOP-controlled media seems to be obsessed with a GOP political ticket.

But, what's being missed?

Every Friday for a couple of months, I've been posting a poll asking which news story was the most important (latest one here)?

But, even this time, I felt myself getting caught up in the "can you believe the GOP's pick for VP!"

So, instead of posting a poll, let me just ask a question.

Today is the third anniversary of Katrina. Is that not more important that a deliberate ploy by the GOP to ignore it?

Doesn't the loss of an entire American city warrant more attention than what the GOP-controlled media is giving it?

(Please recommend this if you want DU to spend more time discussing what's important. Thank you)

While the disaster you speak of is of more importance, it's also important to think about a McCain/Palin ticket actually being close enough to Obama/Biden to possibly win and what that says about America.

2. His pick is just that: an announcement.
Katrina is an example of a Bush failure.

A Bush failure is a McCain cover-up.

There will be time enough to expose the GOP's VP pick.

Right now, we should remember how the GOP allowed a city to drown.
