....can they postpone the Repuke CONvention? |
|
I don't see how they could do that? With most plane tickets bought on-line these days... the tickets are Non-refundable. It would cost millions in plane fare for all the Attendees to buy new tickets? Plus, they have leases on the venue, TV contracts and production companies... I don't see how they could physically cancel it. Maybe I'm wrong..?

1. I don't think so. For all the reasons you gave. |
|
Besides, they have some media heat now and they'd lose it.
But it's a hoot and a holler that they were even discussing it. Gustav is Katrina's angry ghost.

3. No, the logistics of postponing are horrible |
|
for the reasons you pointed out. What might be done is allowing Stupid and Evil to appear via video tape, something they would both greatly prefer at this point, Stupid for the ability to edit and Evil for the fact that he so deeply resents having to be anywhere near the rabble.
The whole convention is going to be an embarrassment to any of the decent Eisenhower Republics left in that party. Attempting to postpone it would just rub salt into a lot of very deep wounds as it cost delegates a fortune in cancellation fees and new tickets.

4. Just hold it at a certain |

stall in the Minneapolis Airport men's restroom. But make sure there are no cops around to check your stance while you are doing it!

5. Another concern if they postpone the convention until the following week, the |

9-11 anniversary will fall in the middle of it. OMG! Can you see how McCain will be able to milk it! Pray there is no landfall for this hurricane. I don't think the Repubs care much about who loses what in case of the tickets.

6. It depends on the roundup of the demonstrators. So far, it is going great. |
|
I don't think they will need to cancel or postpone.

7. Watch For The Distraction... |
|
Gramps will fly down to New Orleans and pretend to be "directing" the recovery...showing how he's "in charge"...rather than the fukstick in the White House who blew it the first time.
Then watch the corporate media swoon as Commander Huff'nPuff looks all "presidential" like he was in Goergia.
