Does Sarah actually hear Gods voice giving her advice? This is kind of important
http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,1837536-3,00.html

<snip>Where do you see yourself going? Staying on in Alaska. Washington?

You know, I don't know. I knew early on that the smartest thing for me to do was to work hard, do the best that I can, make wise decisions based on good information in front of me. And then put my life, get myself on a path that could be dedicated to God and ask Him what I should next. That will be the position I will be in as long as I'm on earth — that is, seeking the right path that God would have laid out for me.

What's your religion?

Christian.

Any particular...?

No. Bible-believing Christian.

What church do you attend?

A non-denominational Bible church. I was baptized Catholic as a newborn and then my family started going to non-denominational churches throughout our life.

1. So she _was_ Catholic. Now I understand all the confusion. As far the "Bible Believing" I hate
that phrase. When used at hubby's church it is all about proving who is a "real ChristianTM"

4. She channels god for letters, too
In a letter she e-mailed to relatives and close friends Friday after giving birth, Palin wrote, "Many people will express sympathy, but you don't want or need that, because Trig will be a joy. You will have to trust me on this." She wrote it in the voice of and signed it as "Trig's Creator, Your Heavenly Father."

14. This is a GREAT issue. Research it.
People remember the Terry Schiavo case and the last thing they would want is Sarah Palin at their hospital bed. THIS IS THE STUFF!

15. Lots of people talk to gawd. He even responds to the lucky ones...
But in the fact-based world they're known as paranoid schizophrenics.

Many of those who aren't institutionalized can be seen standing watch on some downtown street corner in every American city. They're the ones yelling toward the heavens, then shutting up completely to hear the reply.

There was a time when Americans cared enough about these people -- and people in general -- to pay taxes that funded psychiatric hospitals and clinics where they could get out of harms way for a little while. They'd be treated by actual mental health professionals, sometimes hospitalized for a couple of days until the current crisis gradually wound down.

This was free, of course, because it's hard to hold a job while conversing with the deity -- although it seems that being governor of Alaska and a religiously insane fundie loon aren't mutually exclusive.

But St. Raygun closed all these places down when he was California's worst governor in state history -- just before he became the most despicable greed merchant and me-firster in US presidential history.

So instead of treatment, they get handcuffs and the traditional police ass-kicking.

Nice fucking country these days. Just make all the unconventional types disappear and the American fantasy of nobility, goodness and decency can live on to pollute another generation with the usual self-aggrandizing bullshit that makes us so very popular elsewhere in the world.

I mean he's the fucking guy who thought that he was given a God-approved right to go on a fucking crusade to the Middle East. What the Christians forget is that the Crusades FAILED.

I do not want anyone close to the Oval Office that will get us all dragged into this fucking shit.

Palin's Church May Have Shaped Controversial Worldview

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/09/02/palins-church-may-have-sh_n_123205.html

~snips~

"Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right. Also, for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending out on a task that is from God," she exhorted the congregants. "That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God's plan." --- Sarah Palin

Just prior to discussing Iraq, Alaska's governor asked the audience to pray for another matter -- a $30 billion national gas pipeline project that she wanted built in the state. "I think God's will has to be done in unifying people and companies to get that gas line built, so pray for that," she said.
