Are the Republicans ready for split screen coverage of their convention and Gustav?

Brian Williams brought this up the other night on MSNBC. I think this would be a nightmare for all attending the convention in St. Paul. Just another reminder of Katrina. What are your opinions?

1. They're looking for an excuse to CANCEL it because NO ONE is going to watch...

Gustav or no Gustav.

Really. Who on earth wants to hear any of them speak?

2. It will interfere with Republican convention coverage Monday evening

but if the hurricane skirts New Orleans (its supposed to pass just west of the city), then, there will not be much coverage (I believe that part of Louisiana is not heavily populated).

Maybe it will give * an excuse to not have to speechify.

4. Not only the coverage of Gustav, but the coverage of the Ron Paul convention as well.

There's another convention in town next week that could be a bigger thorn in the side of the gop than the weather.

5. Just last week Dobson was praying for rain

of "biblical proportions" to fall on Obama Thursday night in Denver. He asked evangelicals to pray for "umbrella-ain't-going-to-help-you rain". Maybe God misunderstood him. :eyes:
