Wikipedia mystery: Who was improving Palin’s entry?
Check out the change log on Sarah Palin’s Wikipedia page.(The photo on the left is her in 1984, placing No. 2 in the Miss Alaska competition. On the right, as governor.)

NPR reported yesterday that an unidentified Wiki user made at least 30 changes to Palin’s entry in the hours before John McCain announced that she was his pick for VP.

On Friday, 15 minutes before the rumor that John McCain had picked Palin as his running mate, a Wikipedia editor discovered 30 mostly favorable changes had been made to the Alaska governor’s profile.

She was called “a politician of eye-popping integrity” and sections on her participation in a beauty pageant and her alleged use of influence to get her former brother-in-law fired were diminished.

3. Palin the vehicle
Today, this is what occurred to me.

The republicans cannot compete in any form or fashion against
the Obama/Biden ticket.
There is Biden experience against McCain experience.
There is Obama judgement against McCain judgement.
No one McCain could bring can out-debate Biden.
McCain will be fortunate to bluff and bluster and P.O.W. his
way out of a debate with Obama.
McCain doesn't hold a candle to Obama's eloquence.
The Obama/Biden ticket got phenomenal coverage/ratings in
Denver.
The republicans will be holding their convention during a
possibly serious Gulf hurricane
and the convention is in the city where Senator Craig was
arrested.
McCain has say, a dozen homes.
Romney has say, another dozen homes or at least three
good-size mansions. Hmmmmmm....
You can't debate the economy well, when you and your running
mate have 2 dozen homes and your opponents merely have 2. Damn
them.

Time to change running mates.....

Bring in someone with hardly any record to attack(no
baggage)(attracts base). Make it a woman(get women's vote,
disaffected PUMAs and stupid men who think that's all you need
to do to get women's vote).
Make it an NRA and Anti-choice woman (attracts base). Someone
the Left will find incredibly unqualified (attracts sympathy
vote because Left is attacking the little woman with facts).

Palin

Palin is merely the vehicle.

All our focus and attack is on her.
She is the vehicle McCain/Rove is using to gain the White
House. Then after a respectable amount of time after the
swearing in (unless it could legally be done
sooner...(remember, republicans control the courts)...
...After a month or so, there will be a quite unexpected
emergency i.e. the baby needs surgery, more time with it's
Mother?, treatment, etc. Palin needs to resign to be with her
ailing baby, family, moose.....
McCain picks, oh let's just say Romney, as his V.P. choice.
Of course, Congress asquieses (sp?) because that is what they
have done for the last 8 years. And in comes Romney.

Vice-President Romney.
Without having to take part in a single debate.
Without having to defend any of HIS mansions.
Without having a single peep come out of his Mormon mouth.
Without a single vote.

Also, the baby may not be hers. Her oldest daughter missed 4
months of school in the middle of the school year. I heard on
rightwing radio that Palin's water broke in Texas and yet she
managed to go give a radio interview before boarding a plane
to Alaska
where she went to give birth. She's being heralded as a tough
woman for being able to do that. Good way to cover-up
delivery. My sis thinks, from the size of the baby and the
smallness of Palin there would've had to be a C-section. But
the eldest daughter is larger and taller than Palin.

4. Cyber ops
The GOP has teams of specialists who do nothing but work the internet, doing stuff like this. 30 changes? That's not a family member making a few little updates.
