Who would you want to see as DNC head after this election?
I vote for Donna Brazile, though I am not opposed to four more years of Howard Dean if Obama wins.

1. I don't understand why Dr. Dean wants to quit -- WE NEED HIM!
Give him as many more years as he wants to serve!

Who else and, more importantly, why someone else?

6. Not Donna. We might as well have Terry McAuliffe back.
I think Howard Dean has done a great job and should stay in that office.

9. Donna Brazile? The one who had a once a week lunch date with Karl Rove?
Google around a bit, you will find some articles about their "friendship."

His accomplishments to this point are astonishing. Why not keep the best we've had in decades?

13. Brazile? What do you have against the party?
Edited on Sat Aug-30-08 07:12 PM by Warpy
Dr. Dean is the best thing to happen to the party since the liberals went out of power in 1969. He's the reason the GOP is 0 for 3 in special elections in their "safe" districts. He's the reason state parties aren't facing bankruptcy and he's the reason for all the grassroots energy around the country.

Obama's first announcement when he'd sewn up the nomination was that Dr. Dean would remain party chair.

Brazile and the rest of the DLC lost when Clinton did. Let's hope Clinton is the last good candidate they get to ruin and that our party can steer clear of what influence they still have.

Dean for organization.
McAuliffe for corporate fund raising.

19. If Dr. Dean does a good job, and he wants to do it, then...
... why shouldn't he get to keep it?

Only two main reasons for not remaining in a position:

1) Don't want the responsibilities anymore.
2) Ineffective at it- time to be kicked out or gracefully bow out to better performer.

If only elections worked this way: then we'd be talking about President Kerry.

Mark.

24. There's a 3rd reason.
The DNC becomes the political arm of the white house with a Democrat as president.

Under that condition, he said he would have to think twice. Not because of Obama, but because of the political nature.

The state chairs pretty much want him to stay.

21. He's been the best DNC chair ever!
How many DNC chairs would tour the country just to get out the vote? How many chairs have gotten the results he has? Why replace him? I just don't get it.
