Then when Louis Stokes stated his age and thanked Obama for becoming the nominee and letting him see something he never thought he'd see in his lifetime, I thought of my dad.

There was some serious politics at this funeral.

Events like this never occur in a vacuum. They always bring along ghosts. This one brought along Barbara Jordan, Molly Ivins,
Ann Richards and many many more.
She was a marvelous person. I never know what to say except, "It sucks!"
