"We’re proud of Bristol’s decision to have her baby and even prouder to become grandparents.” |
|
So proud in fact that we wanted to keep the news all to ourselves, which is why we found it necessary to have Bristol cover her growing tummy with a blanket and hold her baby brother to hide it.

2. Is it true her *boyfriend* is 24? Isn't that statutory rape? |
|
This is sounding more and more like their family values are up their @#$.

5. I have no information about her bf. I merely saw something that said he was 24.... |
|
... but I am looking for news about him.

8. I read somewhere the age of consent in Alaska is 16 so it might not be illegal |
|
but it will be interesting to find out who he is.

13. Wow, if that's true, interesting. Alaska - the last frontier lol |
|
I once heard Alaska was a town overwhelmingly male. Few females there. I also heard it was very right wing.

3. There it is: the decision was to HAVE HER BABY. |
|
Not whether to put it up for adoption, but to have it.
I thought there wasn't any decision, Sarah?

6. Uh, isn't having it a requirement for adoption? |
|
Oh I see - I think...it's like "deciding" to be gay? Or am I misreading this here? Seems to me there should have never been a question of 'deciding' either way. Argh, confusing

11. For the pro-lifer Palins whether or not to "have the baby" |
|
should not have been a decision, should it?
Earlier posters suggested her "decision" could mean keeping it, instead of putting it up for adoption.

14. Okay there's some confusion. To me, "not having it" can only mean abortion. |
|
Edited on Mon Sep-01-08 06:56 PM by draftedin66
Maybe some people look at that differently... I should probably say, I am "pro life" but very much "pro choice" too. I know that seems inconsistent to some but to me it just means I'm not real comfortable with abortion but also I'm not willing to tell anybody else what to do with their own life and circumstance. Does that make sense?

"We’re proud of Bristol’s decision to have her baby". That indicates that Bristol had a choice to have the baby or get an abortion. Her mother is on record as against choice. She wants to ban abortion in all cases.
So, why would she be proud of her daughter's choice (to have the baby, no abortion), and yet deny that same choice to all women?

12. I guess I really go my tinfoil hat on now with this one |
|
But I still think there's more cover up going on here. Mind you, I don't care one way or another if Bristol has 5 kids or none. What I see here is more repuke lying, coverup, hypocrisy, etc.
For instance, why are baby Trig and Bristol always absent at the same time from the family "appearances"? For instance, in Wash, PA on Sat (?) Gov. Gidget is introducing her family but says "Trig is on the bus with his big sister Bristol; it's his nap time". Uh-huh or whatever time.
Bristol is supposedly out of school for eight months with mono, yet now turns up five months pregnant? So that's what she was up to during her "illness"?
Photos of happy Palin family that show mama skinny during pregnancy but daughter with a definite baby bump are undated, so how do we know when they were taken?
No one could believe Gov. Gidget was preggers when she said she was 7 months along (no baby bump, skinny ankles). Plus she boards a plane with leaking amnio fluid to fly to Alaska to give birth and then shows back up at work 3 days later with baby in tow? Super woman indeed!
Where's the doctor/nurse/midwife/whatever that delivered Trig? Anyone get a comment yet from this person?
I know, I know, it sounds :tinfoilhat: but I don't believe ANYTHING these people say. After 8 years of Bushco, I don't believe anything that comes out of a repuke's mouth.
I think the repukes didn't think this baby story was going to get legs. Now that obviously reporters are crawling all over Alaska looking for the backstory, they have to come up with something quick. So now Bristol is conveniently pregnant, so she can't possibly be Trig's mother. We'll see how this plays out but (a) if Gov. Gidget drops out due to "family reasons" or (b) before the "wedding" of the happy young couple we have some health reason that causes Bristol to have a miscarriage, that will tell (at least me) a lot about the truth of this story.
Like I said, I wish this kid no ill will. In fact I feel sorry for her. But repukes lie and will continue to lie until the end of time. So forgive me my :tinfoilhat:

it made me sick for about 10 days. Never did figure out how I got it because I don't think I had kissed anybody except maybe my mom. haha

17. I went to high school with a guy that had it |
|
I think he was out about 6 weeks and they said at the time he had a real bad case. So several months for a case of mono does seem, um, "excessive".

18. If his name is LEVI, it means one of three things. |
|
1. He's Jewish. We can scratch that one. Ain't no fundie marrying a Jew.
2. He's Mormon. We can scratch that one, too. Ain't no fundie marrying a Mormon.
3. He's been Assembly of God or such his entire life.
Yeah, there are probably a few LEVIs aged 24 who aren't either Jewish, Mormon, or Christian Fundie, but most Levis are. Conclusion: This is one of their church members, or a member of a similar fundie church.
