Stroking the small town inferiority complex. |
|
You know that's what they're doing. What we have to do is explain the consequences to small town America. If you vote for her, it's 4 more years of Bush economic polices and you will suffer...
She's not your friend. She's using you...
She's lying about everything...
She will ship your jobs overseas...
She will support more trade agreements...
She will start more wars....
She will cut the services that you rely on...
She will privatize Social Security and Medicare...
She just like the rest of them...
All she cares about is herself...
I live in small town America. Make it about money. Make sure they know the facts.
NAIL HER ON TRADE AGREEMENTS. The fundies will still vote for her but the bluecollar workers won't. Make her pro-corporate and pro-globalization. That's the way to win in Ohio.

1. They Lose On The Issue Of Money |
|
The McCough/Pailin ticket cannot make it about money because they know they will lose. In fact, they cannot make it about any substantive issue because they know they will lose on those issues. Plus, when it comes to money Gov. Pailin's grade, as mayor of a town of less than 10,000, for responsible fiscal spending is a fucking F. How the hell does a mother of 5 who needs to budget her own family's money, with the help of her husband, lead her town into debt? Politicians are people first, and people who get themselves in debt are in debt due to poor budgeting. Now granted, maybe she hired an incompetent town accountant but that is no excuse for driving an entire town into debt. Furthermore, the money issue goes far beyond taxes and shit like that. The American dollar is weak because the Republicans had foolishly thought that the way to keep taxes low for the 1 percent of Americans was to bore more and more foreign money. However, that does not work for people like my parents who have worked hard every day and continue to do so while the fed rapes them more and more out of their hard earned money. John McCough needs to understand that the American people don't care about his past as much as he thinks they should. He needs to know that Barack Obama is the right choice for America because he is a different kind of American patriot. American Patriotism is not defined by how medals you have on your uniform, nor is about flag burning. American Patriotism is about serving this country in the best way you know how. Conservatives like John McCough do not get that.
