They're climbing El Capitan on the National Geographic Channel right now |

And for those of you who keep track of the Valley scene, Chris MacNamara's the guy they're going up with. Right now they're on the Cable Route on Half Dome, but ChrisMac appears to be NIAD-ing again, and YOSAR's about to make an appearance ("lightning ... drove us to go on" -- oh, help).
For non-climbers: if you're a geology nut, this is at the very least something to watch that's younger than John McCain. ;)

I'll climb up the face, but I'd prefer to rappel than make a slick, Class 3-4 descent with a bunch of people who probably shouldn't be there in the first place. Too much falling potential. Eek.
