1. I think our reversal to Cold War like relations
Is going to be the defining issue for the next president. It's like I am seeing evrything in reverse. As someone in my early 40's, I never thought I would see no Berlin Wall, no Soviet Union, No Castro in immediate power, and many other things that have changed in the world. I think how lucky I am to have witnessed many historic and hopefully positive changes.

Problem is in the last 8 years we are going backwords. We are invading countries based on sketchy intelligence (at best). Russia is now expanding again and reclaiming former Soviet states/territories. The US has lost repect among the international community. Many countries are building to nuclear capacity.

Regardless of his international or executive experience, I would be much more comfotable knowing that Obama is negotiating and dealing with these issues (many times on a daily basis that we will never know about) in the calm, deductive manor I have seen him conduct himself since he came to national attention 4 years ago. The thought of McCain and his straight talk, say it now think about it later, warrior/hero attitude dealing with the tensions of today's world (largely magnifdied by GWB's tunnel vision focus on Iraq) is not comforting.
