A perfect example (one of MANY) of Palin's brand of religious extremism:
These are excerpts from a local news blog messageboard in NC. This person is a huge Palin fan, and this is how Palin and her ilk approach life. They're religious extremists. They are MANY and need to be exposed to those unaware of this type of ignorant thinking.

"It's all in how one inteprets the signs that are given us. Some may view 9/11 and use it as a reason to feel compassion for muslums having to live under the fear of a small sect ruling their lives with violence or the threat thereof.

Others see 9/11 as a 700 year old wake up call to hunt down muslums and slaughter them for the filthy swine that they are.

I am in that latter group.
"

"...I hate my enemies just as God has instructed me to do. And muslums are the enemies of Jews and Christians. Sorry if you don't believe that, but like I said, until you are a Christian and can understand the Bible, you will never see it."

"There is a huge problem with modern Christianity and that is it places the overwhelming portion of Biblical teachings in the light of the love of God. And that is all fine and dandy. But it ignores the justice and wrath of that same God against evil and the people who harm his chosen ones.

By having the church submit fully to the former, all that is being bred is a mass of churchgoers who have little differences between their philosophy and that of the flower children of the 60s. A mass of people who will wither at the first signs of tribulation instead of putting on the armor of God and fighting evil."

3. I must have stupidly glossed over the part in the Gospels where Jesus
instructs his disciples to perform mass murder on anyone who disagrees with his loving kindness.

4. Somebody needs to deliver a fire and brimstone sermon to these folks...
and remind them of the eternal agony they will suffer, the great gnashing of teeth, the Macy's stores September Sackcloth Sales that are going to occur if they don't stop hating people.

5. What Bible does this person read?
Jesus said, "Love your enemies". But I guess his brand of "Christianity" doesn't include the teachings of Jesus.

6. I'll just delete my own post
and save the moderators the trouble. Peaceful words simply cannot describe how I truly feel about these "people" and their "religion."

8. Interestingly, whenever I respond to people like this....
be it in response to slimy right-wing emails, or on messageboards, there is silence. As though I'm invisible. LOL.

9. The problem with modern Christianity is that it has not gotten out of the gutter.

11. Where is the Christ in the modern day Christian?
The first 4 books of the New Testament, the only place Christ is mentioned, depict Jesus as a liberal, hippie type, going around helping others. Too bad most of his followers can't seem to pick up on this.

14. Yes, an extremist, is an extremist, is an extremist....
and they're all militant and dangerous, and brainwashed. There is no reasoning with these people. My only hope is to expose them, as there are still many people in our country who aren't aware they exist HERE.
