I don't think John McCain is really very smart at all. |
|
He is just smart enough to know on which side his bread is buttered, but other than that he appears quite the dullard. I think Sarah Palin could run circles around him in any academic contest..and that really isn't saying a lot..

He had a long career before president and was active in political arenas, making many speeches on a variety of issues. As he got older and sicker, I think he got to the point of being somewhat controlled, but in his younger days he was a full participant.
Bush? Well . . . .

7. Do you think he was 100% in 1980? I don't, he always seemed |
|
like he was being handled to me. I also think he was the first real conduit for the religious right to worm their way into the government.

I actually read a bio on him a few years back because I was curious as to why all the praise. Seems he was very involved in the presidency and in his speeches. So I'll give him credit for that, as opposed to those who think he had dementia from day one.

2. I think he's playing with fire. |
|
The Sarah/Todd tag team is probably already plotting the best way to get him out of the picture without actually, you know, breaking a commandment.

3. I agree but I also think McCain stupidly sold his soul to the devil and now has to watch his back. |
|
Expect more stupid behavior if he is elected. :yoiks:

5. 5th from the bottom of his class at the Naval Academy. |
|
That's telling. Also, he didn't need to be a scholar to get in the Academy because of his daddy and grandfather. I don't think he's ever been seen as mental giant in the Senate either. Listening to him speak unscripted, he basically just recites talking points or says "I'll have to get back to you on that".
