Billie Jean King Clarifies: 'I am Supporting Barack Obama'

Billie Jean King has clarified statements that she made to the New York Observer regarding Sarah Palin. I reported on her quote this morning.

Said King in a statement to 365gay: "Last Friday, a reporter from the New York Observer asked me what I thought about Sarah Palin. I told her I thought Sarah Palin was honest and real. I believe that. But, that in no way should be viewed as an endorsement of any kind. I oppose many of the positions of Sarah Palin, particularly those tied to the LGBT community. I am supporting Barack Obama and, in fact, I have lent my name to both Women for Obama and the Obama LGBT Steering and Policy Committee."

Billie Jean King is a lot smarter than Sarah Palin. McCain should have picked her for the second slot.

9. ONE flaw. BJK is mistaken that Mz McLiar is honest.

She's lied about her part in trooper gate.
She's lied about supporting the bridge for a year then pocketing the money after opposing it.
She's lied about supporting her daughter... she hid her away until the press found out then she dragged her home.
She's lied to nice Minnesotans and she's lied in church.
She's supposedly lied with mens that ain't her husband.
So, no, I don't think BJK is correct in her assumption that Sarah is honest.

Maybe she perceives Sarah using a direct approach that appears honest.
