A challenge for you:
Even if you haven't personally been surrounded by those of the typical right-wing mentality who have been immersed in Kool-Aid, forget drinking it, we've all shared enough stories for you to get the drift of how very, very narrow-minded that type can be and how the outright lies have taken hold in their sponge-like brains, always ready to absorb more of what Faux throws at them.

The right-wing smear campaigns work and spread like wildfire. Even if the emails are long (and I dare so most don't read those in their entirety), there is something catchy...a good soundbite type of excerpt they can carry away after having received it.

Also, it's difficult to refute much of it with data and statistics that can be gleaned from multiple sources as they automatically respond, "Oh, that's from that librul site/paper/organization".

And, while in a perfect world I'd say to focus on the positives of the Obama-Biden ticket, we have to combat the cult-like zeal fed by the media's fascination with Palin, and tear down the facade of what's known as McCain-Palin.

Can we compile a list of the top 10 things EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN would find most concerning/agregious/terrifying about the McCain-Palin ticket -- facts that CANNOT BE DISPUTED?

Granted, those who don't WANT to pay attention can never be reached with all the facts in the world. But I have hope that there are others who, if given a sip of the freshing nectar of truth, may wake up and see what we've been screaming about for years. Most of these people are in dire straits, even if they're still believing it's the "democrat Congress's" fault (doesn't matter that it was a repug president/congress for the first six years).

Here's another thing to keep in mind: if you're like me, you were screaming back in 2000, even before the election, as we could see the potential nightmare scenario brought to pass with a Bush presidency. Unfortunately, instead of me being vindicated now, I have simply been branded this entire time as a hysterical librul. LOL. So, we need to stick with the facts to get their attention.

Can we compile a list of the top 10 things EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN would find most concerning/agregious/terrifying about the McCain-Palin ticket -- facts that CANNOT BE DISPUTED?

This list needs to be SIMPLE, UNDENIABLE TO ANYONE WITH THE CAPACITY FOR INDEPENDENT THOUGHT, and APPLICABLE to all patriotic citizens.

We can start compiling it now and get it ready to fly after Palin's interview, as no doubt -- unless Gibson also "wakes up" -- it will be a fluff piece.

There are many, many things we are all apt to list, but please keep the target audience in mind and keep it simple and unequivocally undeniable. ;)

2. The people I'm thinking of don't give a shit about that. Sad, but true...
I know you're thinking, "Geez, they're hopeless anyway." In many ways, yes, but we must figure out a way to keep McCain out, even if it is simply to KEEP THESE PEOPLE AWAY FROM THE POLLS because they are in doubt.

No, if torture doesn't affect them NOW, forget it. They don't care. And, the logical argument of how those policies endanger us, forget it.

But, hey, nice to see ya, ColbertWatcher! :)

8. Do you mean making the victims pay for rape kits?
Yes, that's another good one. Is there more?

9. But it's really hard to go after anything hunting-related w/o the RW turning
it into "damn liberals are going to take away our guns".

6. Those people belong to different demographics
which makes it hard to find 10 things that they all would be unhappy about.

Palin steals from the government (i.e., you) - getting the government to pay her for "travel" when she is at home - that's one a large majority of them would get up in arms about.

7. Yes, the whole "welfare" aspect....
her taking federal funds when the state of Alaska is rolling in money.

Those are big, you're right.

10. That's actually a different one
I was talking about the per diem she took while she was at home (away from the capital) but

"Because of Palin, more of your tax dollars go to Alaska than to your state."
