Not to disrupt the conversation, but the DJIA is down nearly 200 points |

at the time I post this.
My portfolio held up against the negative market movements until about 45 minutes ago, then it went red, too.
Good Luck on this round guys. Let's hope the selling stays light and doesn't trigger more electronic chaos.

3. That shoulda been yesterday's news...I'm looking now |
|
trying to figure it out. I pulled out of everything related to housing back in November. That included mortgage companies and brokerages, and retail outlets that dealt in home materials and major appliances. I'm not sure what is up.

|
The options pressure is on the down side.

5. Gold, silver and precious metals are down as well... |
|
They often go opposite of the stock market, but not always. Gotta keep an eye on this.
Thanks.

7. Early on the Energy companies with retail outlets were actually up |
|
They didn't give in to the selling until almost noon CST.
If you mean last May 11th, I think the markets have shed pretty close to that in these 2 sell-offs. I'm just not sure there is anything like the jun-november 2006 rally in view.

Point being, it's not the end of the world if the market is off a few points. I've been watching these market falling threads since 9/11. They get to be a bit chicken little after a while.

people need to stop looking at points and look at percentages.

14. Say a percent like Accredited Home Lenders down 64% today |
|
That's interesting as a percentage.
Hope no DU'ers were still in there...
