consumption, acquisition and accumulation. Until now. Now, I find I have become a shareholder is all these stupendous financial institutions...Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, AIG... Why, I can't even keep track of my portfolio it's growing so fast! Because I'm a taxpayer, I'm a membership of the "ownership society," despite a life long commitment to poverty. What kind of bad acid trip is this? Am I going to have to cope with dividends, too? There's no place like home, Toto. No place like home.

8. 1967 - Summer of Love - took to heart! |

Edited on Wed Sep-17-08 05:17 PM by GreenTea
Although the Haight was dead by the summer of 67 - and the inhabitants of the Haights free, sharing & open little community that was truly and extraordinary real in 65 & 66, were mostly all leaving by Febuary 67 and by the summer of 67 most had already left.......Up the north coast to Marin, Sonoma, Mendocino & Humboldt counties as well as southern OR & NM....All because of the corporate media's distortions, misunderstanding & exploitation of the Haight....the media couldn't spot something real in a million years - and on came the huge influx of humanity into the Haight & San Francisco with complete misinterpretations & ignorance given to them by the idiot MSM about the Haight....but the original energy, vibes, values & ideas, are obviously still all around us, if one sincerely tries to find them....I know it's definitely all around me up here in Humboldt.
